Disable IPv6 on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx
Add to /etc/sysctl.conf
#disable ipv6
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1
and reboot... or for a quickie, 'echo 1 > /proc/sys/net...' as root
